Advertising

We see advertising everywhere we go. The best advertising technique for me has got to be the jingles or commercials that catch the viewers attention. I usually give in to name brands unless they taste the same to me. I'm also swayed by celebrity endorsements if I like the product.

For example, Lucky Charms cereal has a friendly leprechaun for its advertisements. Their commercials are meant to grab childrens attention. Lucky charms is a cereal with marsh-mellows in it with different shapes and colors that go along with the leprechaun like shooting stars and four leaf clovers. As you can see the box is red, which as we learned last class is used with many other foods to remind the brain of hunger. Not only are they trying to catch childrens attention but also the parents by having Whole Grain and a "good source of calcium & vitamin D". The part that they aren't advertising is the fact that Lucky Charms cereal contains 41% sugar.
